Dogs have given us many things – including famous sayings, which we use in our day to day lives. A few of these include "barking up the wrong tree" which means to look for something in the wrong place; "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" often used to describe a person who refuses to learn a new way of doing things and "let sleeping dogs lie" a term commonly used to leave a situation undisturbed.
