“Twilight” a box office smasher based on the novel written by author Stephenie Meyer is set to release another heart pounding, blood spilling vampire fantasy sequel- New Moon.
Starring British heartthrob Robert Pattinson and young talented Kristen Stewart, the story continues after Bella (Kristen Stewart) recovers from a life threatening vampire attack. This time while celebrating her 18th birthday with Edward Cullen’s (Robert Pattinson) family, a minor accident to Bella arouses Edwards brother to attack her in thirst of human blood. Edwards & his family decide to leave Bella so that she could live in peace away from vampire attacks. The departure of Edward leaves Bella lonely and vulnerable, so she develops an intimate relationship with Jacob (Taylor Lautner).
Soon Bella learns that Jacob is a werewolf and he protects her from the vampires who seek revenge for the death of their mate James (who was killed in Twilight). Meanwhile, miscommunication leads to Edward learning that Bella killed herself during a thrill-seeking activity. Heart broken by Bella’s death, Edwards leaves to Italy to provoke the Volturi (A royal vampire coven) who would be able to kill him. Edward’s sister Alice and Bella race to the Italian city to stop him, the Volturi knowing the existence of a human who is aware of vampires orders them to either kill her or transform her into a vampire.
New moon is bound to hit the Box office and bigger than Twilight which not only did sweep the MTV movie awards but also grossed a whooping $351 million according to the LA Times.
You’ve got a little bit of a love triangle going on in this one, you’ve got werewolves, you've got vampires, CGI. Stir it up all together, you’ve got “New Moon."
