You can’t change the past, but you can ruin a perfectly good present by worrying about the future.
When we were children, we were taught to think about the future: exams, scholarships and future ambitions. And as we grow up, we still worry about the future: bills, relationships, loans, careers. Often, we look back on the past and think ‘What if?’ and invariably start listing down our regrets. I have to admit, it is our responsibility to plan our futures and to learn from our past mistakes, but stressing and worrying endlessly will not help our present lives! In fact, stress is bad for your health and contributes to many diseases, depression and suicide.
