Chocolate FacemaskNatural recipes are a wonderful way to maintain a glowing healthy complexion. Home made face masks are cheaper, fresher, and easily available and are much healthier for your body compared to commercial products. I’ve selected a few easy to make face masks; try these out and see for yourself how refreshed your skin feels afterward!

Banana mask for oily skin
Ingredients: 1 banana, preferably ripe, 1 tbsp honey, an orange or a lemon
Preparation: Mix the banana and honey together. Add a few drops of juice from an orange or a lemon. Apply to face for 15 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

Lemon/Egg mask for oily skin
Ingredients: half a lemon, 1 egg white
Preparation: Squeeze the lemon and mix the juice with one beaten egg white. Apply to face avoiding the area around the eyes. Leave on your face overnight or if during the day, for about 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Yogurt mask for sensitive skin
This mask is great for soothing chapped, sunburned or otherwise irritated skin.
Ingredients: 1 tbsp natural yogurt (at room temperature), 1 tsp runny honey (microwave for a few minutes to soften hardened honey)
Preparation: Mix the ingredients together. Apply to face for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with warm water. For dry skin, use an extra tsp of honey. For oily skin add a few drops of fresh lime juice.

Sugar mask for exfoliation
Sugar is a useful exfoliant, because it does not tear at the skin. When dead skin collects on the surface of skin, it is important to exfoliate it to clear up clogged pores.
Ingredients: 2 tbsp sugar, 3 tbsp warm water
Preparation: Stir sugar into warm water so that it melts. Make sure that all the sugar granules are dissolved, otherwise they could tear your skin. Apply to face. Gently massage around the skin. Rinse with warm water.

Travel tips

When packing, remember all medicine you're taking for your asthma, including rescue and controller medicines. Keep your medications in your carry-on bags so they're always with you. It's also a good idea to pack a little extra medication, so you don't run out while you're on the road.
